How to use Reduce-Only on BSX Perps

Ready to use Reduce-Only orders? Here’s how:

Step 1: Make sure you have a position:

  • You must already have an open position to place a Reduce-Only order.

  • For example, go long on BTC-PERP with size 1 BTC using your main wallet or a Sub-Account.

Step 2: Place the Order

  • On the BSX trading page, go to the order panel (for Limit, Market, TWAP, TP/SL, or Trailing TP/SL orders)

  • Check the TIF box to enable this option.

  • Set your order details (including size and price) and submit.

Step 3: Manage your Orders

  • Control Size and Price:

    • When the market price matches your set price, the Reduce-Only order executes, reducing your position size.

    • This lets you manage take-profit or stop-loss with your preferred price and size.

  • Adjust Order Status:

    • Don’t want to keep your Reduce Only order? Click "Close" to cancel it, or "Cancel All" to close all open orders.

  • Or, when placing a Reduce Only order, select GTT in the TIF section to set it active for a fixed time, it’ll auto-cancel after that.
